50 an hour Job Summary The Marketing Assistant role at Gilroy Gardens is a critical support role in the Marketing Division.
The position will assist managers in executing marketing strategy initiatives by conducting the day-to-day functions required to ensure that division goals are met.
This role will gain experience with multiple marketing channels and content creation primarily in social media, but will also include areas such as digital ads, website content, and event marketing.
The Marketing Assistant reports directly to the Marketing Manager and will be provided training and guidance in job duties and expectations.
This role is ideal for someone to gain more real-world experience in social media marketing and other marketing functions while working in a part-time role.
Hours/ Shift Times:
Shift hours/ times reflect the theme park operation:
Fridays:
5PM - 10PM, Saturdays & Sundays:
1PM- 9PM.
Approximately 16 - 32 hours a week.
Key Responsibilities Assists the Marketing Manager in day-to-day tasks of division duties such as sending emails, responding to vendors, and collecting/organizing data and reports Assists in content creation on social media platforms:
creating posts and real-time content during park operating hours Engaging with customers online in real time via email, chats, and social media Reviews analytics/metrics with department management to measure performance Helps the marketing division build strong relationships with customer and vendors using strong, positive, and clear communication skills Tracks projects for the marketing division to ensure deadlines are met on time Assists in using park ticketing software and website; making changes to products, calendars, and troubleshooting as needed Interacts and communicates with various groups and individuals such as executives, managers, supervisors, other park administrators, and peers.
Reports problems as they arise directly to the Marketing Manager in a timely manner, and proposes solutions if applicable Performs other duties as assigned Job Requirements Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education, and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
Ability to work nights, weekends, and holiday periods if necessary to meet business needs.
High degree of PC literacy, including MS Office applications.
Familiar with social media platforms and software applications.
Highly organized and strong attention to detail.
Strong verbal, written communication, and analytical skills.
Self-motivated, results oriented, independent problem solver.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
